Haymarket makes grants in the 6 New England States: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Our 2011-2012 Sustaining Grant Deadline was Wednesday, December 7th.
The next opportunity to apply for a Sustaining Grant will be in December 2012. Please check back in October 2012 for updated information.
How to apply for a Sustaining Grant
Haymarket makes Sustaining Grants from $3,000-$12,000/year for grassroots, social change organizations that meet our funding criteria and priorities. We fund both start-up groups and groups that are more established.
If your group has not been funded by Haymarket during the past 3 years you must:
- Read the Grant Information Packet to evaluate whether your request meets Haymarket’s criteria and goals.
- Call and speak with a staff person about your request. We will send you an application if we feel your work meets Haymarket’s basic criteria. Receiving an application does NOT guarantee funding.
How to apply for an Urgent Response Grant
Haymarket makes Urgent Response grants of up to $1,000/year to help grassroots, social change organizations respond quickly to unforeseen crises or opportunities that critically affect their organization and constituency.
This is not a small grants program. Grants are NOT to be used for ongoing program work (including expenses the organization should have anticipated), for financial crises or funding shortfalls, or because the group missed a funding deadline.
Urgent Response grants are available on an ongoing basis.
All Urgent Response applicants must first read Haymarket’s Grant Information Packet.
Once you have read through the Grant Information Packet, you must call and speak with a staff person about your request. We will send you an application if we feel your request meets the basic criteria for urgent response grants.
